The Moroccan Cleaner Production Centre is the national reference centre for cleaner production in Morocco.
Its main mission is the technical assistance to the Moroccan industry for the implementation of environmental sound technologies and environmental management systems in order to improve their economical performance in terms of efficiency, productivity and competivity as well as the environmental performance. The CMPP was created in 2000 in line with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) the CMPP is the
16th of about 35 cleaner production centres in the world. The CMPP is the result of a Public Private Partnership between the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and New Technologies and is financed by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Seco).
